What is The Lifestyle Underwear?

The Lifestyle Underwear by Nichè Wear is reusable, washable underwear designed to offer sustainable leak protection for periods, bladder leaks, discharge and sweat. It’s made for everyday comfort — without the need for single-use pads or tampons on lighter days.

How does it work?

Our underwear features multi-layer technology that absorbs fluid, locks in odour, and keeps you dry. On heavier days, you can wear it alongside pads, tampons or menstrual cups for extra protection.

How much can TLU hold?

Each pair offers moderate leak protection — perfect for light to medium flow days or light bladder leaks. It can hold up to 30ml of fluid (around 2 to 3 regular tampons' worth).

Can I wear it on its own or do I need a pad?

You can wear TLU underwear alone on lighter days. On heavier days, we recommend pairing it with your preferred menstrual product for added peace of mind.

How do I wash it?

Rinse in cold water after use, then machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Hang to air dry. Avoid fabric softeners or tumble drying, as they can affect absorbency.

How long will one pair last?

With proper care, each pair can last up to 2 to 3 years, making it a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to disposables.

How do I choose my size?

Are these safe for teens?

Absolutely. TLU is perfect for first periods and school days. They offer peace of mind without needing to worry about leaks or changing products during the day.

Can I return or exchange my underwear?

Due to hygiene reasons, we only accept returns for unworn, unopened items. Please review our Returns Policy for full details.

How often do you ship?

We ship every Tuesday and Thursday across South Africa. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order is on its way.
